Overview
Current’s keyboard area includes an arpeggiator that can be used to quickly create melodies.
The arp and chord tabs can be dragged to change their order, enabling the arpeggiation of chords or the transformation of arpeggios into chord sequences.
1. Arpeggiator Tab
ARPEGGIATOR TAB: Click on the tab to view the arpeggiator. The ARP and CHORD can be reordered by dragging either of their tabs.
2. Note Pattern
NOTE MODE: Choose the melodic pattern that will be applied to the currently playing notes.
ONE-SHOT MODE: When activated, the arpeggiator will play through the note pattern once and then stop.
STEPS: Set the number of times that each note will be transposed according to the current SHIFT setting.
STEP SHIFT: Adjust the interval that the arpeggiator transposes with each additional STEP. This shifting is automatically locked to the currently selected scale.
ALTERNATE STEPS: When active, any additional STEPS that are added will be inserted between each note that is played through the arpeggiator. When inactive, each note played through the arpeggiator will be played in sequence, shifted, and then repeated.
STEP OFFSET: Shift the arp pattern forward or backward by a certain number of steps.
3. Rhythmic Pattern
RHYTHMIC MODE: Choose from a variety of rhythmic patterns to apply to the arpeggiation. The patterns range from simple backbeats to complicated sequences, and even exponential rhythms.
SWING: Adjust the amount of swing that will be applied to the arpeggiation.
RHYTHM START: Shift the arpeggiator rhythm forward or backward by a certain number of steps.
EXPONENTIAL CURVE: Adjust the intensity of the currently selected exponential rhythm.
STEP LENGTH: Set the length of each step according to the RATE and the currently selected rhythmic pattern.
RATE: Adjust the speed at which new notes are generated by the arpeggiator.
RATE SYNC: When activated, the arpeggiator RATE will be set as a BPM-synced value. Otherwise, it will be set in milliseconds.
SKIP: Set the percentage chance that an arpeggiator note will be randomly skipped. This is a great way to add unpredictability to the arpeggiator.
