Creating Preset Packs

Overview

In this section, we will explain how to create your own preset packs that can be browsed in the Stream. This will allow you to easily utilize the Stream for third-party or preset packs and customize the pack artwork that is shown in the Play View.

You have the option to fully customize the pack's name, art, tagline, and description. Additionally, each preset can be saved with tags, allowing for easy searchability.

Creating A Pack

To create a pack, select "Create User Pack" from the global settings dropdown. This will create a placeholder pack art and a JSON file that can be opened using a text editor. Inside the JSON, you will find a place for the pack's tagline and description.

Here are the ways you can customize the pack:

  • Pack name: the name of the folder.
  • Pack contents: any presets contained in the folder.
  • Pack artwork: add a PNG with the name primary_image.png to the pack folder.
  • Pack tagline: update the tagline contained within the pack.json file.
  • Pack description: update the description contained within the pack.json file.

After modifying the pack, it is necessary to select "Rescan Preset Folders" from the global dropdown menu for the changes to take effect. Please note that you only need to do this once after making a change, as all instances of Current will be updated.
