Clean installation
Last updated 11 days ago
If you have encountered issues such as missing factory presets or plugins not showing up inside your DAW, a clean install of the plugin can sometimes resolve the issue and remove unwanted programs.
Step 1: Move the user presets of your plugin(s) to a safe location
Prior to uninstalling your plugin(s), move the user presets of the plugin to a safe location, such as your Home folder or Desktop. User presets can be found at:
Mac users:
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Minimal/PRODUCT/Presets
Windows users:
C:\ProgramData\Minimal\PRODUCT\Presets (ProgramData is a hidden folder)
Step 2: Uninstall your plugin(s)
Delete the plugins and app support folders:

Windows users:
C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins(and any custom folders)C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3(and any custom folders)C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-InsC:\ProgramData\Minimal
After that's done, verify that none of the plugin formats are showing up in your DAW. It's possible you have other plugin files in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/ or a custom folder on Windows.
Step 3: Install the latest version of your plugin(s)
Please download and install the most recent version and check if this fixes the problem.
